Great news for one of my favorite TV journalist, Lisa Ling!
After 5 years of marriage to her husband Paul Song and suffering through a publicly announced miscarriage in 2010, Ling is pregnant with her first child, a baby girl.
After her loss, Ling opened up to her then co-hosts about losing the baby at 7 weeks.
"I felt more like a failure than I'd felt in a very long time," Ling told the ladies. "I don't know that I took it as seriously as I should have because it happened so fast. But then when I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart."
Ling, a former co-host of The View and current host of a documentary series Our America on OWN, announced the great news today on Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show, Anderson Live!. The two co-hosted a news show from the 90s for teens called Channel One that was shown in high school classrooms nationwide.
The two reconnected today after years on Coopers's show today, when Ling served as Cooper's co-host for the day.
