More Practical Clothing Options

Friday, September 11, 2009

Now that we've explored the most expensive cribs, clothes, diaper bags and strollers this week, it should be noted that the average family doesn't necessarily have to break the bank to get top quality goods and products for their kids.

Case in point, you can score great quality products at Goodwill, consignment and thrift stores. Vintage bags and clothes can be found from yard sales in upscale neighborhoods. I've been fortunate enough to score wonderful gently used clothing from top labels. If you are lucky, you may be able to find a barely used stroller or crib. I would recommend having any item you buy used at second hand outlets inspected to make sure it still meets safety standards.

As for other options for top quality clothing at reasonable prices, outlet stores are great sources for getting great deals off of the regular priced clothes found in the general stores. One of my favorite outlet spots is Gap Outlet, I can often be found rummaging through the great deals there. You can get trendy pieces too! One of the posts that gets many hits is my post on the Skinny Jeans for Babies, (see photo of my little GG in said jeans) We got those from a Gap Outlet!
Anyway, Bellyitch Readers are lucky because Gap Outlet is having a social media campaign and has partnered with one of my blogging mom networks, Twitter Moms.

We have a awesome kids consignment store here called "Kid to Kid". It's part of a chain. I haven't shopped there much in the past, but I plan to for this new baby. I love GG in her skinny jeans. Girlie is quite petite and she really likes skinny jeans b/c, well, they fit her! Thanks for the coupon link! :)
