Kelis, 29, and her husband, rapper Nas, 35, are expecting their first child together. She's in her first trimester though.
The two have been married since January 2005 and I thought they were on the rocks, according to rumors. I wonder whatever happened to the MTV series they were filming about their lives together. When I heard they were on the verge of splitting up, I assumed it was the old MTV curse that have befallen Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey; Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro; Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, etc...(also, though its on VH1 Hulk Hogan and his wife's marriage fell apart after a couple seasons of TV series)
Only the old heads like Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne and Rev Run and his wife Justine can take the stress of having your relationship on television, I had thought.
I guess I was wrong! Congrats to them. I'm sure that hip hop baby is going to be gorgeous and destined to be a hip hop rocker him/herself.
