What's GG Up to Now...

photo taken Sunday at the annual family pumpkin patch trip.

  • These days my almost 10 month old GG has been growing into her own personality. She is quite bubbly and is very determined. She's so strong she'll physically jump out of your arms onto the floor, the arms of another person, when she's ready.
  • Also, she seemingly understands what you are saying to her if you ask her a yes or no question, she will nod her head either side to side or up and down.
  • She "talks" and carries on a conversation in baby gibberish. Too cute for words.
  • Not walking yet, but is great at cruising or getting up from the squat position to a standing position. She isn't too comfortable taking those first tentative steps yet. Any day, week or month now is my guess.
  • I took her to the docs yesterday because I thought she had an ear infection, turns out her constant pulling of her left ear was due to her upper two teeth coming in!She is a firecracker like her older brother, the one I like to call a "maverick".
  • She is prone to mischief making and scattering anything that is in order. I'm gonna nickname them McCain and Palin any day now.
  • She loves getting tickled and cracks up if you make faces at her or try to make her laugh.
  • She's finally having the patience to sit through a 5-10 page board book. Before, she'd sit through the first minute, if for that long, and then wander off.
  • GG is eating solids and has graduated from Stage 3 baby food even. She likes the mini macaroni, mixed veggies, noodles, peas, hot dogs and other foods she can handle herself. In fact, she prefers to feed herself. I don't have a high chair and GG is too big for her Bumbo Seat so it's touch and go and Mess and Go with us these days. I'm waiting on a friend to pass along a high chair *clears throat. you hear that friend, if you are listening?"doesn't she look like a high maintenance Diva with that "mug" on her face like she's thinking, "I can't believe you guys really dragged me out into all this dirt and hay."

I think that's it for this update. Baby girl is such a joy! Gonna go pick her up from the sitters now! Ciao!
