we're back!

GG spent her first vacation in the Caribbean, on the beautiful sunny island of Saint Maarten or Sint Maarten as spelled by the Dutch Netherlands countrymen that own the twin island. (The northern bulk of the island is owned by the French, Saint Martin). Alas, GG's hair is a frizzy mess and I am tempted to use this which I found while surfing for some hair care alternatives. It's supposed to be designed for black, multiracial, African American and ethnic hair. I like how they acknowledge that not all black people are African American.

The Carol's Daughter's products that I spent a small fortune on does a great job at getting GG's hair smelling nice and I love the all natural wholesome ingredients in the products, but unfortunately, it's not working too well to get GG's hair as manageable as I would want it.

Oh, I experimented on GG's hair with help from my baby sister (who is 15 years my junior and who came along on the trip to be a babysitter). I learned how to cornrow her hair! yay!

in other news: GG turned into a first class/first rate mischiefmaker while away and she became utterly mommy-struck as she got used to 24 hour access to me and would not go to anyone else. not her dad, my baby sister or her grandma who traveled with us. Hrmphf!

tough luck for the babysitter who gets a freshly spoilt rotten child tomorrow.

Oh and SHE WAS A TOTAL HIT during travels and up and down that island. I think she made like 1,000 friends of all ages, races, genders etc...couldn't walk two steps without being stopped by a fan. She's a flirty happy baby. It was nice to meet so many different people with GG.
