[Edited to Add: 7 Things About Me Post]

I am a thirty something wife and mother to two wonderful and mischievous little boys and their sweet and equally mischievous baby sister, GG. I love to go out and dress up. In fact, I fancy myself a bit of a fashionista, keeping up with the latest trends and experimenting once in a while in them.

I have been called a supermom. I don't think there is such a thing. Who can be all things to everything all the time...and be happy? Unfortunately, I come from a social circle of those overachieving "Keeping Up with the Joneses" set of folks that try to compete with members in the circle on everything from homes, cars to children's achievements. I try to limit myself and exposure to situations where I am in unnecessary and unsolicited competition. I found that a lot in my law school and since getting married and having children have been good about distancing myself from people who want to compete with me. Really, What's the point? Why can't we all just "do us" and be happy for one another?

I manage two businesses including my law firm. My family is my life. It includes my best friend, my husband of 10 years, who keeps me on my toes, keeps me laughing and grounded. He is my rock and I am so in love with him. Of course, my beautiful amazing, smart, witty, fun-loving, children who make me so happy to be alive! My sisters and I have a great bond. They each have one child. My brother is a lark. He is trying to find himself. Maybe it's a male thing or early 20s thing. He's going to get it together eventually. My folks are African immigrants and I enjoy staying grounded and in touch with my African roots through them.

I have many flaws with my biggest one being my time management skills. I need to learn to respect my and other's time more. Imperfect am I, working each day towards a better me! I am prone to typing too fast and being too quick to want to post and will let go with a few typos. Thank Goodness I am not that anal to let that get to me. I ask readers to do the same. My motto is, after all, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff."

I love pregnant ladies. I started this blog on the suggestion of a friend Saucy, from the Triinidad Carnival Diary when I was pregnant with my third and last child. It has since taken off and become its own thing, highlighting tips, reviews, celebrity pregnancy photos.

Regarding Celebrity Pregnancy Photos, I try to seek out those who are not covered by the other pregnancy blogs. Hence the tag line "colorful pregnancies" I don't discriminate. The pregnant woman is a miracle. She carries life and that should be celebrated, honored and revered. It is a tough task and a privilege not a right. Enough of my soapbox!

Bellyitch is much found via Google searches for all things maternity related and is often the first or second hit for pregnancy topics, hence its top listings among rankable sites like AllTop and Post Rank. It also, fortunately or unfortunately, gets a lot of unique hits, which means that it courts new users in the thousands each week. I do hope one day to get a loyal and larger following of repeat visitors, especially those that comment! I love getting comments, but rarely do. Oh well. Someday!

Hello,
I seriously just found out that I am pregnant last night! -And when I took 3 tests two weeks ago - they were all very negative, not "iffy" at all, so two weeks ago I was not pregnant, and now, I AM. I took 2 tests last night, and another one first thing this morning, and they were all super quick to give me the same positive + result all 3 - the line showed right away all 3 times...

I will blog for you, and keep reading you page... Strange that your page popped up while I was looking at pics of Ellen Pompeo... That was kind of weird; but anyway, it was good to find you, and I'm sure we will communicate again.
Thanks!
Samantha
