I love GG's new nanny!
She's raised over a dozen kids from infant to adulthood and is from my native Sierra Leone, West Africa.
I came home the other day to find GG knocked out sleeping on her back...tied true African style!
She's vowed to teach me to speak our native KRIO again. I understand the language fluently. It is a derivative of pigeon English, a mixture of Queen's English with Spanish, French, Creole and a hodge podge of native tongues.
AND! To top it off, she's gonna be giving me cooking lessons once a week until I learn the entire menu of stews and sauces that I grew up eating in my parents' home from childhood!
yay! she's even on track to teach GG how to drink from a bottle. Next week, we'll start feeding GG cereals. I can't believe it's time for solids already!
Boy does time fly!
Today, we'll take advantage of the nice weather and go for a walk so I can acquaint her with the neighborhood and she can take GG out once a day when the weather stays warm consistently outside.
