Baby Bag and Back Seat Basics

I was just thinking that I need to re-adjust and update my baby/family travel bag and backseat and trunk for the warmer weather. This is our baby bag basics:

  • a bottle
  • 2 packets of instant mix formula
  • a small 3 ounce bottle of infant water (for mixing formula)
  • a nursing cover
  • 2-8 diapers (depending on how long the outing)
  • burp cloth
  • 2-3 bibs
  • a change of clothes
  • a travel pack of wipes
  • a sun hat
  • a pair of booties or socks (for air conditioned indoors)
  • a change of top for the older boys
  • 2 juice boxes (for the boys)
  • 2 fruit roll ups or fruit snacks
  • snacks in zip lock bags or cups of cheerios
  • a bottle of water (for mom)
  • granola bars or healthy bagged snacks (for mom)
  • lightweight blanket to cover the baby in air conditioned indoors
  • a pacifier (for emergencies tho GG doesn't really care for it)
  • a travel size of hand sanitizer
  • a travel pack of tissue for runny noses
For the car we'll stock in the mesh carriers behind the driver and front passenger seats and in the trunk:
  • sweaters for days we stay out late and the temperature drops
  • juice boxes
  • assorted snacks
  • extra diapers and undies for the boys
  • extra pants or shorts
  • car toys
  • soft books for the baby
  • board books for the boys
  • plastic bags for storing dirty diapers and trash
  • stroller (jogging, double or single, depending on who's coming and where we're going)
  • large blanket for impromptu picnics or for sitting on wet grounds
  • a tub of wipes for dirty hands
  • a large regular size of hand sanitzers
  • a gallon of water
